Irresistible Crack Sticks

Ingredients
  

  • 12 slices of white bread
  • 1 package cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Prepare the Filling
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth and creamy.
  • Step 2: Prepare the Bread
  • Trim the crusts off each slice of white bread. Using a rolling pin, flatten each slice to make it easier to roll.
  • Step 3: Assemble the Sticks
  • Spread a layer of the cream cheese mixture onto each flattened bread slice. Roll the bread tightly into a log, sealing the edges slightly.
  • Step 4: Coat in Butter & Cinnamon Sugar
  • Dip each roll into the melted butter, ensuring it is fully coated. In a separate bowl, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon together. Roll each buttered stick in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.
  • Step 5: Bake or Fry
  • For a crispy texture, bake the sticks in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 10-12 minutes until golden brown. Alternatively, you can pan-fry them over medium heat for 2-3 minutes per side until crisp.
  • Step 6: Serve and Enjoy
